HAGERSVILLE—The Hagersville Lions are holding their annual food drive in conjunction with a bottle drive on Saturday, October 17, 2020 in support of the Hagersville Food Bank.

If you have donations, please put them in the yellow No Frills bag that will be left outside your front door, along with any empty bottles or cans to be picked up by the Lions starting at 9:30 a.m.

You can also bring your empty beer, wine, and spirit bottles or cans to the parking lot beside the Hagersville Community Centre.

Last year The Hagersville Lions collected a record-breaking 2,648lbs of food for the Hagersville Food Bank.

“We are hoping to come close to last year’s food collection as we see the need is increasing because of the ongoing COVID-19 situation,” said Past Lion President Dan Matten. “People have trouble finding jobs and therefore trouble feeding their families and keeping the pantry stocked.”

Besides food donations, the Food Bank is grateful for monetary donations and other items that are needed besides food items.
