Hagersville mini-meet has successful third year

HAGERSVILLE—The third annual mini-meet at Hagersville Secondary School on Sunday, September 1, 2019 showed that members of Athletiques International Track and Field Club are heading toward some stellar results for their final outdoor meet of  2019.

More than 20 Personal Records (PR) were set in the six events offered, with life-time bests in the long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus toss, javelin throw, and hammer fling.

Eleven-year-old sisters Kennedy and Abby Martin of Jarvis came away with the most PRs, with Kennedy doing it in the triple jump (6.31m), shot put (6.10m), discus toss (12.05m), and javelin throw (7.30m), while Abby did it in the long jump (3.40m), triple jump (7.38m), discus toss (12.06m), and javelin throw (17.27m).
