HALDIMAND—Several Haldimand athletes travelled to Mississauga in July for the 2022 Ontario Summer Games.
As predicted, 14-year-old Abby Martin of Jarvis was one of the busiest athletes, taking part in the five aspects of the pentathlon, plus two individual events and a relay.
Her first experience with Combined Events (CE) took place last July, when she won a bronze medal in the Under-14 girls tetrathlon. That was also her first experience in the hurdles, the opening event of girls CE, and had to five-step the space between the hurdles.
