The 2021 Haldimand 4H Beef Club

By Gabriela Kott

To The Haldimand Press

HALDIMAND—The Haldimand Beef Club of 2021 still faced COVID-19 challenges and restrictions, but the year was something to remember!

The club was able to participate in many learning activities, such as animal food and nutrition, basic animal health care, and budget planning. 4-H Beef members had hands-on training for leading, clipping, and fitting cattle.

Haldimand 4-H Club’s official closing for 2021 and Achievement Day was held on October 4, 2021, at the Caledonia Fairgrounds. On behalf of the Beef Club members, I would like to thank all those who made everything possible this year.

Honourable mention to Club Leaders: Peter Burrill, Eugene Tepjema, Kevin Schweyer, Sue Passow, and to the meeting hosts. Thank you, Burrill Family Farm and the Miller family farm and beef operation.

We are all very thankful for the opportunities provided in 2021; see you in 2022!

Gabriela Kott is the 4-H Beef Club press secretary.
