HALDIMAND—For the past four years, the Business Development and Planning Advisory Committee (BDAPAC), a volunteer committee consisting of local business leaders and stakeholders, have been working to make Haldimand County better by offering support and direction on the local economy.
“Having a committee made up of business leadership within the county was meant to bring about and stimulate some new ideas or at least contribute to the strategy that was already being put in place by Council at the time,” said BDAPAC member and owner of Hauser’s Pharmacy, Phil Hauser, in a recent presentation to Council.
Along with local business leaders like Hauser, the BDAPAC counts Haldimand County Mayor Ken Hewitt and Councillor Rob Shirton among its ranks, as well as senior County management including General Manager of Community and Development Services Mike Evers and Manager of Economic Development and Tourism Lidy Romanuk.
