HALDIMAND—Haldimand County Council ratified the 2020 Water & Wastewater Budget, setting in place a 10-year financial plan to ensure no debt is incurred for necessary updates.
Updates included in the decade-long Water & Wastewater Budget, also known as the 2020 rate-supported budget, include capital replacements, operations, and new treatment facilities which will be provided when needed with no new debt.
In 2020, residential water and wastewater users will see a slight increase of approximately 60 cents on their monthly bill. The new rate took effect on February 1.
