Lamothe urges Council to act on Dunnville protesters
Dunnville resident Rob Lamothe urged Haldimand Council to look into ways to stop the continued disruption of peace and business in downtown Dunnville.
“I want to begin a conversation between Council, administration, OPP, and community members regarding the peace-disturbing, business-disrupting, community preachers and protesters gathering in Dunnville to harass and slander community members,” said Lamothe. In a presentation to Council, Lamothe discussed how individuals from Hamilton, Ottawa, and Toronto are coming to Dunnville weekly to disrupt the public by shouting hateful speech, carrying disturbing signs, and blocking sidewalks.
