HALDIMAND—During last week’s virtual session, Council received its semi-annual report on the activities, initiatives, and impact of the Community and Development Services department for the period covering June to December of 2019.
Highlights include partnering with Mohawk College to bring its City School mobile unit to Caledonia and Dunnville, offering a College 101 course to residents at no cost; completing a Tanker Shuttle Accreditation program and increasing to a commercial rating; and the completion of several development projects or work towards several others, such as approvals for a manufacturing operation in Jarvis, a new condominium development in Dunnville, and a new liquid asphalt storage and shipping operation in the Lake Erie Industrial Park.
