HALDIMAND—The Haldimand Curling Club held their first bonspiel of the year on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Grimsby Curling Club. It was also the first one since 2019. In total, 40 curlers took part in what was a fun filled day of curling. The teams were split into two draws and each team played two games. A delicious lunch was provided by Kelseys Roadhouse. In the opening draw (above), first place was taken by the team of Laurie Admiral, Greg Salter, Jason Stewart, and Tony Simpson. The winner of the late draw (below) was team Sandie Rowell with Richard Schilstra, Scott Wlodarczyk, and an unnamed fourth player. Congratulations to all. The Haldimand Curling Club is celebrating 50 years of curling this year. They meet in the Cayuga Memorial Arena and are known as the social club that curls for their emphasis on having fun and building friendships.
