CALEDONIA—Haldimand Horticultural Society (HHS) had a tea cup party of a different kind. We were preparing these lovely Mother’s Day gifts for our plant and bake sale May 11, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, rain or shine, at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 27 Orkney St., Caledonia. It was fun to be planting, even if it was in a tea cup instead of in our gardens. We had a very productive day creating just under 100 of these lovely tea cups, which will be available at our sale. If this isn’t your cup of tea, there will be many other plants and lots of baking that are sure to please.
This is just one of the fun things we do. We have different workshops, great speakers at our meetings, bus trips visiting other gardens, and more; so come out and join us. Our next meeting is May 23, where we will learn all about bees from our guest speaker Shawn Rennie from Creekside Apiaries; everyone is welcome.
