Hagersville team wins first place

HAGERSVILLE—The Hagersville Lions Pool was the site of the annual Haldimand Lifeguard Competition on August 20, 2022. More than 40 lifeguards from the Caledonia Lions Pool, Dunnville Lions Pool, and Hagersville Lions Pool participated in several events including team spirit spectacular, lifeguard trivia, first aid charades, deep end speed spinal rescue, tug of war, submerged victim rescue, lightning round rescue challenge, ring buoy bustle, fitness challenge relay, and penny dive. The event was an opportunity for the Haldimand County pool staff to demonstrate their knowledge of first aid, water rescue, and lifesaving skills in an atmosphere of friendly competition. After the scores were tallied, Hagersville came out on top as the winning team.
