HALDIMAND—Haldimand OPP officers are now equipped with body-worn cameras (BWCs) as part of a year-long study by the OPP on the effectiveness of the technology and how it might inform the implementation of new technologies across Ontario in the future.
The equipment will also be worn by members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team. These two teams in particular were chosen due to the frequency in which they interact with the public.
