Have Your Say: On the democratic process

To the Editors,

Cambridge MPP Belinda Karahalios on Tuesday, July 21 voted against Bill 195 – Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020. Here is someone who voted against her own party on an issue she felt was against our democratic system, which would not be in the best interest of the people of Ontario, nor would it be in the best interest of her constituents.

This is the way the democratic system should work, not the way it has become where no matter what the politicians have to vote along party lines.
