Have Your Say: Spring: The season of Garbage

To the Editors,

This time of year is great to see the birds returning and the flowers starting to pop up. However, what is NOT nice to see is all the litter that was hidden under the snow! It’s totally disgusting and also embarrassing to see that fellow humans can have such disregard and disrespect for our natural world.

Two points to make here. First, can people please stop thinking of the outdoors as their own personal garbage can? Also, whenever anyone is outside, anywhere – please pick up a piece or two of litter and dispose of it properly, even if it isn’t your own.
