Have Your Say: Thank you from the family of Alex Ottley

Note: The following letter is from the grandfather of Alex Ottley, a 9-year-old who has been presumed drowned in Lake Erie after attempting to rescue a friend who had fallen through the ice. Despite ongoing searches for the boy, he had not been found as of press time.

To the community,

Thank you to all the rescue and recovery people along with the OPP and their support team. Their professionalism and continued efforts in trying to find our Alex for us has provided some much-needed comfort.

Thank you for the support from family, friends, neighbours, and all other well-wishers. The thoughts and generosity of everyone has been so overwhelming; we could not know how to express our gratitude.
