HALDIMAND—The Haldimand Federation of Agriculture (HFA) continues to work to support Haldimand’s agricultural community. Most recently, members of HFA manned the Meet Your Local Farmer booth at the Caledonia Fair, handing out copies of the Real Dirt on Farming, local food maps of Haldimand County, recipes, and colouring sheets. Shown at right at the event is Henk Lise, HFA President, with Charlotte Huitema, HFA Secretary. The next HFA meeting is their OFA Regional Meeting on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Starting at 7:30 p.m., this meeting will be virtual. Please contact Will Stoneman at will.stoneman@ofa.on.ca to register and for more information, including election nominations and meeting details. The event includes elections for delegates and alternates to OFA’s AGM and Policy Advisory Council members, representing Haldimand on November 22 at the AGM for input at the provincial level.
