JARVIS—After an urgent call for a Bald Eagle in distress, I managed to net this eagle with the help of an off-duty Guelph Humane Society Officer.
The eagle was tired and only able to fly short distances low to the ground. We test all high-risk wildlife for lead poisoning and this eagle tested positive. We started warmed intraosseous fluids and chelation therapy right away.
