CALEDONIA—The town of Caledonia paid tribute to one of its own on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 by unveiling a new plaque in Ron Clark’s honour along the river walk pathway that was named after him earlier this year.
Ron, who passed on January 14, 2019, was a pillar in the community of Caledonia, contributing his time, money, and ideas to many projects. One of these projects was the Lions pool, splash pad, and park, located along the Ron Clark Memorial River Walk at Kinsmen Park, where the plaque was erected.
“We wanted to honour Ron for the man that he was, not for the things that he gave money to,” said Larry Fay, who was a founding member of the Caledonia Special Projects Committee with Ron.
“It’s a wonderful memory for Ron, just to have this plaque here. He worked really hard on this project,” said Ron’s wife, Nancy Clark.
