HALDIMAND—With such a large area to cover, it can be difficult for Haldimand County to respond quickly in the event of a sudden winter storm. We wanted to find out more about the decision-making process behind keeping our roads safe during the winter.
Being able to respond quickly means having eyes on the scene. To that end, County staff use a patrol team who are available 24/7 for the sole purpose of patrolling county roads to send back reports on their conditions between November 15 to April 15.
