Indoor track and field championships underway

The Championship season for indoor track and field is officially underway, and Cayuga’s Caitlyn Thompson, 13, took part in the initial offering of 2020, coming home with Personal Records (PR) across the board.

The occasion was the Ontario Indoor Combined Events Championship, held at The Toronto Track and Field Centre at York University on January 26, 2020, as she took part in her first-ever tetrathlon, comprised of 60m hurdles, high jump, shot put, and 200m.

The Grade 8 student at JL Mitchener opened her day with a PR in the 60m hurdles, finishing fifth in her race with a time of 10.70 seconds.
