JARVIS—It was a time to wine, dine, and shine at An Elegant Evening with the Jarvis Lions.
The evening of September 24, 2024 featured many local singers and musicians at the Jarvis Lions Hall, along with a variety of fine foods such as slices of roasted NY striploin, oven roasted chicken served in an orange sauce, lemon butter beans, garlic mashed potatoes, and an assortment of delicious desserts.
The meals were prepared by members of the Lions with the help of Chefs Brad Lewis, Mac Mitchell, Linda Feeney, and Debbie Moffat. The potatoes were donated by the Norfolk Potato Company and its owner Gerdon Broekstra.
Lion Rick Fess, Event Chairperson, stated, “This is the 14th annual dinner for the Jarvis Lions Club. The monies raised tonight will be going to the Jarvis Caring Cupboard Food Bank.”
This is one of many good causes and organizations that the local Lions club supports to help better the community.
