JARVIS—The spring food drive at Jarvis Community Christian School was an overwhelming success with 4,000 cans and packages of food collected. This total far exceeds the goal of 1,000 cans which, according to Principal Chad Haverkamp, was achieved by the fourth day of the drive. On Thursday, April 1, 2021 the Grade 5/6 class, winner of the in-school competition, had the honour of creating a large cross as part of the school’s Easter observance. The class is looking forward to a pizza party, as promised by their teacher Mr. Smith. An aerial view of the cross was streamed for every class to view the results of their efforts, which are being shared by the Simcoe Caring Cupboard and Church Out Serving.
