HALDIMAND— Haldimand Mayor Ken Hewitt said he was left frustrated after a meeting between the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Mayor of Norfolk, and the Chief of Six Nations.

“The Ministry really wasn’t well prepared for what we were presenting, and what I find frustrating is that our local representation knows what we are working on here in Haldimand, in Norfolk, and the Six Nations,” said Hewitt.

The statements took place as Hewitt provided an update on the Council’s meetings held at the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) conference in January.

Hewitt said Haldimand Councillors had two key meetings, one with the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and the other with the Ministry of Infrastructure.
