The Hagersville Hawks have had a successful week, starting with a 6-0 win against The Dunnville Mudcats on January 14, 2020. The game started in Hagersville’s favour, with two goals within the first period, scored by Peter Cappucci and Connor Stirling. There was another goal scored by Ralph Taggart within the second period. Hagersville had already secured their lead. However, they continued to extend the lead with another three goals in the last period, one by Adam Carusello and two by Matt Weston. Avery Hartwick was in net for Hagersville and witnessed 30 shots, saving every single one.
Hagersvile’s January 15 game went into overtime, ending with a 4-4 tie with the Glanbrook Rangers. The game quickly started in Hagersville’s favour with a goal by Sandy Porter within the first five minutes. Glanbrook was quick to score within the first period as well. However, Hagersville got another goal in within the first period by Weston. The second period was Glanbrook’s period as they were the only ones who scored. Followed by the beginning and ending of the third period. Although, Hagersville got two goals in within the third period as well, pushing the game into overtime with a 4-4 tie. No goals were scored within overtime and the scores were set in stone. Jamie Ferguson was in net for Hagersville and saved 42 of the 46 shots he saw on net.
