HALDIMAND—A trio of announcements have been rolled out to assist Canada’s veterans, military personnel and Legion branches.
A commitment has been made to table legislation shortly to ease the burden on Ontario’s Royal Canadian Legion halls by ensuring they pay no property tax.
“Veterans are Canada’s heroes. Our government remains committed to ensuring those who have served our country receive honour and respect,” said Haldimand-Norfolk MPP Toby Barrett. “The Royal Canadian Legion branches in my riding are social and recreational hubs and places where veterans can receive support. This legislation will allow them to continue serving our communities for generations to come.”
