CAYUGA—The Oneida Plowmen hosted its annual plowing competition on Saturday, October 7, 2023 on River Road outside Cayuga at the farm of Dale and Ann Armstrong on Thanksgiving weekend.

It was a beautiful, crisp fall morning and 23 plowmen arrived from across southern Ontario, with the farthest coming from Windsor. A banquet was hosted after the match at the Armstrong farm with awards handed out. Thank you to our judges Dale Smith of Mount Hope and Wayne Downie of York, Dale and Ann Armstrong for hosting, and Jackie Easson for representing the Oneida Plowmen over the last two years.
Congratulations to Patrick Sanders of Strathroy who won best plowed land of the day and to Deklan Vaarkamp of Hagersville for top junior plowed land.
