CAYUGA—Jarvis Public School and River Heights Elementary School were the big winners on October 13, 2022, taking home two banners each from the Haldimand County Elementary Schools Cross Country Championships, held at Ruthven Park National Historical Site. Oneida and Walpole North took home one each. Banner winners are determined by the finishing positions of the top two girls and top two boys in each grade; the finishing position times are added together, and the lowest total wins.
Other schools may not have had strong teams, but still managed to have individual winners. The top three finishers in each race were:
