Long-serving Caledonia Fair manager retiring

CALEDONIA—The Caledonia Agricultural Society is facing the end of an era. Long-serving Fair Manager, Vickie Peart, will be retiring shortly after the 2019 Caledonia Fair.

Vickie grew up in the fair family, with both her parents being active members of the Agricultural Society. She started helping her father in the fair office over 40 years ago, later taking over as Secretary Treasurer. As the Fair grew and the fairgrounds became more active and involved in community life throughout the year, the role evolved to the current position of Fair Manager, the only full-time staff member employed by the volunteer Agricultural Society.
