HALDIMAND—Just one week after a Haldimand woman lost her life in a motorcycle accident, Labour Day weekend saw two serious vehicle collisions in Haldimand.

On Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 7:20 a.m. OPP, Haldimand Fire, and Haldimand paramedics responded to Highway 6 north of Unity Road.

OPP investigation, thus far, determined a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), being driven by a 40-year-old female, was travelling northbound on Highway 6 when it travelled into the southbound lanes and struck a sedan being driven by a 23-year-old male.

The male was reported to be trapped in the vehicle and unresponsive before first responders arrived on the scene of the accident.
