Lowbanks residents desperate for help handling erosion

LOWBANKS—When Marianne Hannon and her husband Joe Tingle purchased their home along the shores of Lake Erie, they pictured quality time together enjoying their natural surroundings. However, the couple, along with their neighbours, have seen eroding shorelines become such an issue in recent years that many have found ‘Do Not Occupy’ notices from Haldimand County on their front doors until appropriate safety measures can be put in place to protect the structural integrity of their homes.
