JARVIS—It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Jarvis and Townsend as the Jarvis Board of Trade (JBT) and some of Santa’s local elves are encouraging residents to light up the town and spread good cheer.
The idea for Jarvis Light Up 2020 was inspired by Elf Ernie Bigelow, who was looking for a way to brighten things up in the community.
He says, “We want to support our community and local businesses that are all good to us and bring some cheer.” His fellow Elf Lisa Nigh says, “Elf Ernie is always thinking about giving at Christmas. He said, ‘Wouldn’t it be great if we just decorated and made lives happy?’ That’s all it took.”
