HALDIMAND — Haldimand County Mayor Ken Hewitt will take a temporary leave of absence from his position throughout the month of May while he focuses on his bid to become Haldimand-Norfolk’s newest MPP.

“I am going to step away from the daily duties that require me to function as mayor,” said Hewitt during a Council meeting last Monday.
