CALEDONIA—Summer students employed at the Edinburgh Square Heritage and Cultural Centre have been hard at work preparing and running summer workshops.
The group of students includes Michaela Chiasson, who has returned for her seventh year with the museum.
Chiasson started as a videographer working on heritage minutes, but right from the start wanted the museum educator position; in her second summer she got it. She has held this position every summer since then.
She said she’s “always liked working with children and people in general.” With that in mind, it’s fitting that after the summer Chiasson will be returning to York University to finish a degree in social work.
