SELKIRK—Every year the Haldimand County Museums employ summer students. This year there are three summer students at Wilson MacDonald Memorial School Museum in Selkirk, all local to the community.
Dana Stavinga, Curator at the museum, said, “We’re very, very fortunate to be able to have some pretty talented kids in the county able to come out and be a part of our programming and work.”
Jennifer Robinson of Caledonia attends the University of Guelph for sociology. She is working for 17 weeks as a museum educator, mainly organizing children’s workshops. When asked what part she enjoyed most, Robinson replied, “I really like organizing the crafts for the kid’s camps.”
