HALDIMAND—Haldimand-Norfolk MPP Bobbi Ann Brady is encouraging residents to provide input into the province’s Finance Committee to aid in drafting the 2023-24 budget.
Brady, a member of the province’s Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs, has been travelling the province as part of the pre-budget hearings.
She encouraged local stakeholder groups to apply to be part of the hearings, but recognizes that most people don’t have the ability to travel to the hearings. Plus, groups must be approved to make a presentation. However, Brady pointed out residents can provide input through the survey or send written submissions.
“I have had the opportunity over the past few weeks, and in coming weeks, to hear from stakeholders and taxpayers in different communities across Ontario,” Brady said. “Many of the concerns and requests I hear are often what I hear as I travel the riding but it’s important constituents take the time to be heard individually.”
Information on providing input into the budget is available at ontario.ca/page/2023-budget-consultations.
