CALEDONIA—As previously reported, only Caledonia remained for girls volleyball teams in the playoff season.

The McKinnon Park Secondary School (MPSS) Senior girls volleyball team failed to handle the squad from Pauline Johnson in their Athletics Association of Brant, Haldimand, Norfolk (AABHN) district semifinals, losing the match-up in three straight with scores of 9-25, 20-25, and 22-25 on February 14, 2023. This brings an end their season.

The Junior girls at MPSS, however, became the last vestige of hope for Haldimand.

They advanced past the St. John’s Juniors on the 14th with scores of 25-18, 25-17, and 25-21 to head to the AABHN finals.

They then edged out North Park two days later in three very close games – scores 25-22, 25-20, and 25-23 – to claim the AABHN crown.

They are now travelling to Kitchener on February 23 to contest the Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association title.
