NANTICOKE—Ministry of Environment representative Gary Wheeler has confirmed that the diesel spill at Imperial Oil in Nanticoke totalled 600 litres, about six times the amount initially reported.
The spill occurred around the beginning of June. Wheeler did not provide an explanation when asked why the initial report of 95 litres came a few days after the spill but the total number was not available for almost a month.
