HALDIMAND—Meghan Piironen is excited by the support she has received since being announced as a candidate for the Haldimand Norfolk NDP.
As a student at the University of Ottawa, she is the youngest candidate to emerge locally. Previously she attended Cayuga Secondary School, where she founded the school’s first ever GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance). Through this, she became involved with Pride Haldimand Norfolk and spoke at events, including the Bell Let’s Talk Day Wellness Expo in Dunnville.
