FISHERVILLE—The New Blue Party, which hopes to replace the Conservatives as the main right-aligned political party in Ontario, has chosen Nate Hawkins as their local candidate to face long-standing Conservative MPP Toby Barrett in the next Provincial election, set for June 2, 2022.
Hawkins has deep roots in Haldimand County. His parents met while growing up in Dunnville and he grew up in Caledonia, attending McKinnon Park Secondary School. He has served as a reservist with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry and the Algonquin regiment out of North Bay, and he holds a BA Honours degree in Criminal Justice from Nippissing University.
