HALDIMAND—Council has approved the adoption of a new countywide fence bylaw for consistent standards and additional flexibility for property owners. The bylaw is also intended to ease tensions between neighbours.
“The proposed bylaw incorporates a dispute resolution process for the construction, replacement, maintenance, or repair of a fence marking the boundary between adjoining parcels of land,” said Randy Charlton, Manager, Building and Municipal Enforcement Services.
