New stoplight set up at Haddington and Argyle streets
CALEDONIA—A new stoplight has been installed at the intersection at Argyle Street South and Haddington Street in Caledonia, a finishing step to roadwork done at the intersection. “The original design was a roundabout but after further community consultation, the community indicated that a traffic signal would be the preferred option,” said Kyra Hayes, Supervisor, Corporate Affairs, Haldimand County. “There were also some concerns raised about the seniors at RVilla being able to safely cross over to the Zehrs plaza. The feeling was that the signals would help with that rather than them having to walk to either Kinross or Celtic.” —Haldimand Press photo by Jillian Zynomirski.
