HALDIMAND—The Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit (HNHU) has reported just six new cases of COVID-19 within the area over the last week, amounting to a rolling average of less than one new case per day, and no new cases at all for five of the seven days last week.
“Last week I said it was a little early to be celebrating,” said Interim Medical Officer of Health Dr. Alex Hukowich. “After five days with no new cases, we’re getting to the point where we can indulge in a little bit of celebration. Certainly, our rates of new cases are less than both the provincial average and Canada-wide…. Those are very, very good things.”
