HALDIMAND—It was a blustery, wintery day as a team of volunteers whisked around Haldimand and Six Nations on Saturday, December 7, 2024, delivering presents to hospitals, long-term care facilities, and support service communities in the annual whirlwind of kindness known as Santa to a Senior Haldimand and Six Nations (S2S).

This year marked the fifth S2S campaign. Originally conceived by Caledonia resident Sarah Hague, the program continues to prove popular year after year, delivering donated personalized gifts to over 300 people this year thanks to the help of a dedicated team and a community that believes in them.
HAGERSVILLE—S2S organizers Melissa Burgess, Sarah Hague, and Nicole Selby share a moment of joy before the delivery day begins. Gifts were gathered and distributed out of a spare room generously donated by The Jackson apartment building.
