DUNNVILLE—Haldimand OPP is investigating after a stolen vehicle was recovered on a property of an attempted break and enter on Lakeshore Road in Dunnville.
On Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 3:16 p.m., OPP responded to Lakeshore Road after a resident located an unknown vehicle on their property and damage to their entrance door.
OPP searched the area and did not locate anyone inside the residence or the vehicle. A query of the vehicle revealed it was reported stolen on January 2, 2020 from another address on Lakeshore Road.
OPP investigation has determined that sometime between Friday, December 21, 2019 and Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 3:10 p.m., unknown(s) attended the property where they attempted entry by damaging an entrance door in an apparent break and enter attempt. No entry was gained and the unknown suspects fled the scene.
A stolen black Jeep Wrangler was recovered on the property.
