CALEDONIA—A citizen assisted police with an arrest in Caledonia.
On December 8, 2025 at approximately 8 p.m., the Haldimand OPP responded to a call for service involving an individual possibly breaching a court order in Caledonia. The accused was located a short time later and it was determined that they were failing to comply with a release order.
While affecting an arrest, the individual resisted the officer, and a bystander quickly rendered assistance.
An 18-year-old from Caledonia has been charged with resisting a Peace Officer and failure to comply with a release order (three counts). The charges have not been proven in court. The accused remained in custody and was to appear in court December 10.
