Collision leads to multiple charges

TOWNSEND—Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 46-year-old male following a single motor vehicle collision investigation at a Concession 9 Walpole, Townsend address.

On Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 7:27 p.m., OPP, Haldimand County Fire Services and Haldimand County paramedics responded to the intersection of Concession 9 Walpole and County Line Road where a passerby reported a single vehicle collision and that the driver and passenger were injured.

When OPP arrived on scene they noticed the vehicle with front end damage in the ditch and learned that the driver and passenger had left the scene.
