DUNNVILLE—One person was air-lifted to hospital following an altercation that became physical.
On January 4, 2024 at approximately 9:15 p.m., the Haldimand OPP received a report of a disturbance on Edgewater Way, Dunnville.
The investigation determined that two people were involved in a verbal argument that escalated with one person being injured with an edged weapon. The individual was transported to a trauma hospital by Air Ornge to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result, a 51-year-old from Dunnville has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Aggravated Assault
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
The accused was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga.
