DUNNVILLE—One person is charged following a single vehicle collision in Dunnville.
On November 15, 2023 at approximately 8:20 p.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a vehicle that had collided with a fence on Broad Street. There were no injuries.
Police determined the driver was exhibiting signs of alcohol impairment and placed the individual under arrest. The driver was then transferred to the detachment for testing.
- A 26-year-old of Lowbanks is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80-plus)
- Operation while prohibited
The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was also impounded for seven days.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on December 5, 2023.
