DUNNVILLE—On August 1, 2023 around 3 p.m., members of Haldimand and Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit observed an individual in a vehicle with an outstanding warrant and initiated a traffic stop.
A search uncovered a quantity of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine, cash, and two prohibited knives.
A 38-year-old of West Lincoln Township is facing the following charges: Possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts); Possession of a restricted weapon (two counts); Possession of property obtained by crime (under $5,000); Failure to comply with release order (two counts); and Failure to comply with probation order.
A 28-year-old of Port Colborne is charged with: Possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts); Possession of a restricted weapon (two counts); and Possession of property obtained by crime (under $5,000).
Both individuals have been released from custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on September 5, 2023.
