Hagersville stand off leads to arrest

HAGERSVILLE—On Friday, August 2, 2019, at approximately 2:40 a.m. Six Nations Police responded to a woman with head injuries at a Fifth Line Road address.

“The victim had been struck on the head with the stock of a rifle,” Six Nations Police said in a news release. “The assault appeared to be unprovoked. The suspect was known to the victim.”

The victim was transported to Hagersville for treatment at West Haldimand General Hospital.
